personal revolution

This is the story of my own personal revolution. I've become passionate about my country in the past couple of years. I'm embarrassed to admit it took me until my thirties to wake up and care about the events unfolding around me. I've taken the freedoms and ways of my daily life for granted. Just went along my way, like most others, not giving much thought to how I would feel if it all started falling in. Crazy how life twists and turns and makes you examine the very core of your beliefs. This is where I am at.

I have been closely following the events transpiring in this great land.....and it sickens me. When did we become a nation that looks to our government for every solution? And when did our government become so arrogant to think it is the solution to every problem? America's way of living is undergoing a change. The day is coming when the good people of this Nation will have to make a stand. I've finally gotten to the point where I'm not concerned about what collective society thinks. I'm ready to stand on the ideals and principles that America was founded on.

Day to day, I get very frustrated in my thinking that I'm the only one who feels this way. But I know that can not be. Over the past few months, I've had this nagging feeling there is something more I can do and this is what led me to this blog. Today, I've made the commitment to read and research about our Founding Fathers. This weekend, I am going to dive into "The 5000 Year Leap" as my starting point. I'm hoping to continue to blog about the events unfolding in this country and the ideas of our Founding Fathers left for us to learn and build on.
I hope you will join me............
